Matthew Campbell is a licensed psychologist who has spent years working with people who genuinely want to feel better — but feel overwhelmed, inconsistent, or discouraged by traditional self-care advice.
What he kept seeing in his work was this: people weren’t failing because they lacked motivation or discipline. They were failing because they were trying to change everything at once, without a structure that matched how humans actually function. That realization led him to focus less on “doing more” and more on protecting a few foundational behaviors that quietly shape energy, mood, and consistency — things like sleep, sunlight, movement, social connection, and what we consume (food, media, substances). He considers these foundational for emotional and physical well-being.
